The Hunting Ground

I know I write a lot about food- it just happens to be one of my great loves,  but another great find in Gippsland is The Hunting Ground a great little food store in Sale. It is run by a group of mums who provide top quality light lunches and breakfasts. In the Spring edition of Gippsland Country Life we will feature this great little foodie hangout, but I thought I'd share with you this great pic of their Beetroot bread offerings.

I am excited to report that Country Life Publishing was recently announced one of four finalists in the Gippsland Business Awards with our Gippsland Country Life Magazine and What's On West Gippsland. www.clpublishing.com.au. Last year we featured the Kilcunda General Store in Gippsland Country Life magazine. A couple of weeks ago friends and I re-visited this great little store and I am happy to report it is still going strong. I can highly recommend the falafel salad and great coffee as well. Kilcunda General Store is located on the Bass Highway South Gippsland.

Creative Ranges blogger

The Yarra Valley and Ranges is full of wonderful people with talent and creativity. Jo McComiskey is one such person. She is a stylist for House and Garden magazine and also has started writing freelance feature stories with us, which we are really excited about. Check out Jo's blog at jomccomiskey.blogspot.com

We've just fully completed all of the distribution of the latest mags, phew! Working on the editorial list for the Spring edition. Feel free to send me your story ideas! I'd have to say among my favourite stories from the summer edition was about Fruition Bakery, there's something about the love and care they put into their bread- they are unique.
On my travels I can never resist taking a pic of a lovely old home. This is one that I snapped when I visited Omeo.
